The initiative's first event

The first event treats Jewish heritage not as a decorative backdrop, but as a living present, a responsibility, and a cultural practice. The former synagogue is a place of remembrance and a space where visibility, dignity, education, art, and public responsibility can be renegotiated.

This page gathers the first group of projects: digital remembrance, testimony, language, music, research, public knowledge, and contemporary Jewish cultural visibility in Stommeln.

This hybrid event will take place on 30.09.2026 at the Gemeindezentrum "Martinus-Haus" / Martinussaal, Venloerstr. 546, 50259 Pulheim/Stommeln (Ecke Hauptstr., near the synagogue), from 18:00-21:00, and will be streamed on this website.

Boaz Kaizman used the poem as the basis for the composition, generated through a text-to-music workflow that maps the voice of Henry Kurz reading the poem onto musical notation for ensemble performance.
